We reported last time that Nokia is making a comeback in 2017 and it seems that they’re not waiting for the Mobile World Congress to launch their newest smartphone product under their new holding company HMD Global.
The Nokia 6 will be launching in China and will be exclusively offered by JD.com for $245 – that is roughly around P12,500 here in the Philippines and we wouldn’t be surprised if the unit hits store shelves here soon (or at least in the black market)
The unibody design is made of aluminum, and meets Nokia’s strict visual and structural quality requirements. Nokia’s phones are always known for their sturdy builds and this one should be no different.
Specs wise the Nokia 6 features the ff:
- 5.5-inch Full HD IPS LCD display
- 2.5D contoured glass with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 Protection
- 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 octa-core CPU
- Adreno 505 GPU
- 4GB RAM
- 64GB internal storage
- Up to 128GB via microSD
- 16MP rear camera w/ Laser AF, PDAF, Dual-tone flash
- 8MP front-facing camera
- 4G LTE
- Fingerprint scanner
- USB OTG
- 3000mAh battery with fast charging
Nokia is set to launch 6 phones this year and we should know more soon at the Mobile World Congress happening at Barcelona, Spain on February 27 to March 2, 2017.
