A recently leaked listing from EB Games Australia showed some third-party accessories made exclusively for Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Nintendo Switch. The listing has been taken down from the website since the Internet took notice – well, too late.
Two listings featured a pair of “starter packs” which feature a padded carrying case, two screen protectors and a cleaning cloth as well as a pair of earbuds. What’s interesting is that the listing included an item that is related to a yet-to-be-confirmed hardware feature of Nintendo’s upcoming console.
The listing showed an “extra-long 3m charging cable” that features a USB-A to USB-C connectors. This seemingly indicates that rumors about the Switch using USB-C for charging is all but confirmed.
USB-C allows faster charging, which is excellent given the rumored battery life of the Switch isn’t that much. It allows faster data transfers as well so we’re looking forward to what details will Nintendo announce at the upcoming Switch press event in January.
